Question 1

What is permanent architectural lighting?

Accepted Answer

A track of individually controlled LED pixels installed into a slim aluminum channel that follows your rooflines, eaves and peaks. It stays up year-round, disappears into the trim by daylight, and is controlled from an app.

Question 2

Can you see it during the day?

Accepted Answer

Barely. The channel is colour-matched to your trim and tucked tight to the line of the fascia or soffit. Most people don't notice it until the lights come on.

Question 3

How long does an install take?

Accepted Answer

Most homes are a single day on site. Larger two-storey homes, acreages and commercial buildings can run into a second day. We confirm the schedule when we quote.

Question 4

Do you install in winter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, within reason. Saskatoon winters are part of the job and the system is rated for them. Extreme cold or ice can push a date, and we'd rather move a day than rush a roof.

Question 5

Is it safe for my roof and eaves?

Accepted Answer

The channel mounts to the fascia or trim, not through your shingles. Our crews work off ladders and follow safe-work practices — which is the whole point of never having to do it yourself again.

Question 6

What warranty comes with it?

Accepted Answer

The Prairie Lighting pixels carry a lifetime warranty. Our workmanship is warranted separately. If a pixel fails, it gets replaced, not re-bought.

Question 7

How do I control the lights?

Accepted Answer

Through a free iOS and Android app. Set brightness, pick from hundreds of preset patterns, build your own scenes, split the house into zones, and schedule everything by time or sunset.

Question 8

Can I use it outside of the holidays?

Accepted Answer

That's the best part. Most owners run a soft 2700K warm white year-round for curb appeal and safety, then switch to colour for holidays, birthdays, game nights or Canada Day.

Question 9

Will it use a lot of electricity?

Accepted Answer

No. They're low-power LEDs, and you control brightness and hours. Typical everyday use costs a few dollars a month. [confirm real figure]

Question 10

What happens when the power goes out?

Accepted Answer

Your last scene and schedule are remembered. When power returns, the system picks up where it left off.

Question 11

Do you service outside Saskatoon?

Accepted Answer

Yes — we install across Saskatoon and the surrounding towns, including Warman, Martensville, Delisle, Aberdeen, Outlook and many more.

Question 12

What if I move?

Accepted Answer

The system stays with the home and is a genuine selling feature. We can transfer app access and warranty details to the new owner.
