Privacy and data protection

Privacy policy

Our commitment to clear, responsible and limited use of the information entrusted to us.

Effective October 6, 2026

Your trust matters before, during and after your project.

This policy explains how Lumen Architectural Lighting, operated by A&Y Conglomerate LTD., collects, uses, discloses, retains and safeguards personal information obtained through this website and related quote communications.

Plain disclosure. Limited collection. Responsible handling.

We recognize that privacy is an important part of doing business. We seek to collect only the information reasonably required to respond to inquiries, provide our services, maintain business records and understand how our website and advertising perform.

Section 01

Scope and accountability

This policy applies to personal information collected through lumenlights.ca, our quote forms and the communications that follow a request for information or service. It does not govern third-party websites or services that may be linked from this website and that maintain their own privacy practices.

Lumen Architectural Lighting is responsible for personal information under its control. Questions, requests and concerns may be directed to us using the contact details at the end of this policy.

Section 02

Information we collect

We collect information that you provide voluntarily when requesting a quote or contacting us, including:

  • your first and last name, telephone number and email address;
  • your selected property type and preferred project timeline;
  • a preferred lighting scene, where you choose one in the interactive demonstration; and
  • the page from which your request was submitted.

We may also record limited website and attribution information, such as pages viewed, interactions with the lighting demonstration, referral source, advertising campaign name and standard browser or device information made available through cookies and similar technologies. If a Meta advertising click identifier or recognized campaign parameter is present, we use it to distinguish Meta advertising traffic from direct website traffic.

Section 03

How we use information

We may use the information described above for the following legitimate business purposes:

  • to respond to your inquiry, discuss your project and arrange a site visit;
  • to prepare, administer and follow up on a quote or service request;
  • to maintain accurate internal lead and business records;
  • to understand website use and measure the effectiveness of advertising; and
  • to protect the website, investigate misuse and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use the contact information submitted through the quote form to send unrelated promotional messages without an appropriate basis to do so.

Section 04

Cookies, Meta Pixel and website measurement

This website may use cookies, local browser storage and similar technologies to remember your privacy choice, preserve first-touch attribution and support website measurement. These technologies may store or read small amounts of information in your browser.

We use the Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., to measure page visits, interactions with the lighting demonstration and completed quote requests, and to evaluate the performance and delivery of Facebook and Instagram advertising. Information made available to Meta may include the page visited, the action taken, browser or device data, cookie identifiers and advertising referral information. We do not send the name, telephone number or email address entered in our quote form to Meta through this Pixel implementation.

In regions where consent is required, the Meta Pixel remains inactive unless and until the visitor accepts. Declining is as easy as accepting, and a choice may be changed later. Elsewhere, measurement may operate without displaying a banner, subject to applicable law and any choice already recorded in the browser. Blocking or deleting cookies in your browser may also limit measurement, but the principal functions of this website remain available.

Manage your preference

Review or change the Meta cookie choice stored in this browser.

Section 05

When information is disclosed

We may provide information to service providers that support the operation of our website and business, such as website hosting, secure data storage, lead-management and notification-email services. A quote request is saved before notification is attempted and may be forwarded to our internal lead-management system so our team can respond. These providers are permitted to process information only for the services they perform for us or as otherwise required by law.

We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process or a lawful request; to protect our rights, safety or property; to investigate fraud or misuse; or in connection with a proposed or completed sale, financing, reorganization or transfer of all or part of the business. In a business transfer, personal information may form part of the transferred assets, subject to applicable legal requirements.

Section 06

Retention and safeguards

We retain quote requests and related business records only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, provide services, maintain appropriate operational and legal records, resolve disputes and meet applicable obligations. Retention periods may vary according to the nature of the record and the reason it is held.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, disclosure or loss. No website, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure; accordingly, we cannot warrant absolute security.

Section 07

Your privacy choices

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct or delete personal information that we hold about you, or withdraw a consent on which we rely. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request and may retain information where required or permitted by law.

You may change your Meta cookie preference using the control above or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. You may also control cookies through your browser and manage advertising preferences through your Facebook or Instagram account.

Section 08

Children’s privacy

This website and our services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so that we can take appropriate steps.

Section 09

Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, services or legal obligations. The effective date above identifies the most recent revision. Material changes will be presented on this page or communicated by another appropriate means where required.
